Sex Age & Me is a national project funded by the Australian Research Council. It is the first project of its kind on the sexual health and behaviour of Australians aged 60 years and older.
The project is a collaboration between researchers at the Australian Research Centre in Sex, Health & Society, the National Ageing Research Institute, and the University of Sheffield.
Sex Age & Me aims to deliver knowledge to help combat the rapid rise in sexually transmitted infections among older Australians. Areas of focus include older Australians’ knowledge and understanding of STIs, sexual health, and safer sexual practices.
As the baby boomers enter older age and potentially bring different attitudes and approaches to sex and relationships, Sex Age & Me will also investigate the sexual practices, relationship patterns, and dating experiences of older Australians.
More information about the project, and how you can take part, will be updated shortly.
